Lady Elliot Island.

Name an attraction or town close to home that you still haven’t got around to visiting.

I live in the state ofย  Queensland Australia, 4 hours drive north of Brisbane is a town called Bundaberg.

The town is known around the world for its famous Ginger Beer, which is sold in 60 countries.

We are also known for our Bundaberg Rum and many other things like Mon Repos, where there is the largest concentration of nesting Marine Turtles on the Eastern side of Australia.

There is one place I haven’t been, and that is Lady Elliot Island, the most southern coral cay of the Great Barrier Reef. It is accessible by boat, which takes approximately 2 hours to get there.

It has some of the best snorkelling areas for the great Barrier Reef. I’m not interested in snorkelling, but I would love to go on a Glass bottom boat where one can enjoy the beautiful sea life without getting wet.

I’ve been on a boat and seen whales frolicking in the sea off K’gari Island ( formerly called Fraser Island). The island is on the World Heritage list and lies a little south of Bundaberg.

Yes, our Bundaberg region is a must visit holiday destination.

See you soon…๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ๐Ÿท๐Ÿบโ˜•๏ธ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ŸŒ…
