If you could make your pet understand one thing, what would it be?

I owned a cat for over fifteen years but it was probably the last five or so years that I understand that I didn’t own the cat but that  she owned me. Yes she was a bit of a ” boss ” cat and was quick with her paw to give you a gentle wack if things weren’t going her way.

She used to think everything in the house was forher benefit. If  I was watching something on TV and she didn’t like it. She would get up and stand in front of the screen. She loved watching nature stuff on the screen but anything to do with trains or train tracks and she would growl at the TV. I believe she was like that because I lived near a railway station and she might have wandered down near the tracks sometimes.

So if I could make her understand anything, it would be that humans are the ‘boss’, not the other way around!

My beautiful Sherie le Cat died 15 weeks ago . She was my,  beautiful companion for over 15 years.

If I knew how to upload photos on here, I would. She was a light grey tabby with a tortoiseshell under coat. On her belly was a soft golden colour and her chest was white. Her fur used to sparkle with golden flecks through the light grey tabby markings.
