What is one question you hate to be asked? Explain.

We have become creatures of habit. Time is something most people seem to not have enough of,  or maybe their  time is poorly managed.

I know people mean well when they ask this question, but most do not wait for an answer or expect an answer.. Often the person will unintentionally just lie when they return the answer to the question. I’m sure we are all guilty of asking this question!

So the question that I dislike people asking is ..’ Hi, how are you?’   Many people just say good  even though that is not the truth.

By the time you’ve gathered your thoughts, the person that asked,’How are you?’ has gone, or they start talking about something  else.

Most people are not generally asking after ‘ how you are’ ..it is just a greeting…

It annoys me and makes me grit my teeth because if they do not genuinely want to know how you are- why do they say it? Why not just smile and say hello?

I normally just smile and nod my head at people I know or I  say  hello.

I’ve tried to educate people in a group where I go to not ask – how are you …if they are not going to take the time to listen to  what the person’s answer is going to be.

I’ve encouraged them to think before they speak and maybe say something like.

It is nice to see you today.! Or comment on their clothing ( probably more if it’s a woman.)

Words form the basis of so many parts in society- treasure them.
