To be or not..or maybe not Superstitious??

Are you superstitious?

The topic at hand is quite intriguing. In the past, when faced with a question or uncertainty, people typically turned to knowledgeable individuals, such as parents or elders, or referred to a dictionary to find answers. Nowadays, however, searching for information has become more accessible, with many simply turning to Google for quick answers.

Me, I’m a google person, so I googled it and found out more information than I  needed to know.

So I’ve just spent ten minutes reading all different ideas and beliefs of where the word originated from …. but if you think I’m going to write it all down, no way!

You can  google it yourselves.

I think most superstitions are passed down through families and have come from generations where knowledge was only what one knew or experienced.

So am I superstitious?

No!

I have some quirky ways of doing things in life but that’s just me…Like I lift my left leg up first to put on any clothing  that goes on below the waist and I put my left arm into clothing but it has nothing to do with superstition.

I was born left-handed but had a parent who insisted that would be an interference to my well-being, so she weaned me out of it by securing my left hand in my apron strings behind my back… suspicious?? No way, it was her belief that left-handed kids were disadvantaged in life.. so instead of growing up left-handed, I’m ambidextrous!

I do not consider any number luckier or unlucky. I consider that to be fate if something happens.

My parents were probably quite superstitious, but to me, it’s just a whole pile of hogwash that needs throwing out of the bucket!

Oh, look out,  I  just saw a black cat ducking under the ladder over there!!
