Community Investment

What do you do to be involved in the community?

I am kind and considerate to everyone I meet.

I struggled with life as a child because I looked different to others who made fun of my appearance.  These days, you would call it bullying, but I just felt unwanted or loved, so I’ve always shown kindness to others.

About 20 years ago I chose to follow the beliefs of Jesus through the Salvation Army.  I joined up with a community group that reached out to people who lived rough on the streets. Through the Salvation Army we provided a place of rest and somewhere people could have a meal, a coffee, or chat with someone who was willing to listen without judgement .

It is rewarding for me to be able to help those in need because of the suffering ĺ experienced as a child.
