In my younger years, there was nothing I liked better than going for a walk first thing in the morning or last thing in the evening when the sun was setting. It enriched my soul, calmed my anxiety and strengthened my muscles.
These days the only walking I do sadly is taking the garbage bin to the front gate once a week. Previously I lived where there was concreted footpaths and street lights but now I live just on the outskirts of a town and there is no footpaths and it is a busy road filled with cars and trucks.
Hopefully, soon, I will return to live in an area where it is safe to walk. It’s very therapeutic…
