Are there any activities or hobbies you’ve outgrown or lost interest in over time?
I’ve always been creative, and if you look at a very young baby, you will see as they develop they learn how to hold a pen to draw on things.
Well, I’ve never let go of the pen or pencil… and through the years, I’ve added different skills and hobbies and gained expertise in many fields…
But like changing seasons, things come into one’s life for a season or a reason, and then one gives them the heave ho!
So, if I were to list all the crafty things I’ve had a go at and enjoyed over the years, we would be here forever. You mightn’t even hit the ‘like ‘ button to leave a comment.. (oh, I could be so lucky if someone left a comment.)
I’ve always stuck with writing, though. I had 13 penfriends around the world by the time I was 12 years old and wrote letters on a typewriter. Then, when I left school, I used to write to my grandmother. With the introduction of computers, I still continue to write and enjoy writing.
Over 10 years ago, I wrote & illustrated story books for my grandchildren.
I’m trying to rekindle the art of storytelling and abstract drawing to produce fun stories for the next generation now.
So that list of hobbies I’ve given up are probably just on hold because one doesn’t know if I will try things again before I get too old!
From a young 70+ yr old.
