What’s a secret skill or ability you have or wish you had?

Today, WordPress acknowledged me by saying I’ve  been ‘ blogging’ on here for TEN BIG YEARS!!

Well, I can hear you all saying congratulations and celebrations, but honestly, I have been paying the subscription fee for that long but haven’t seriously been writing or contributing anything at all during that time.

I’m a wannerbe…

going to be…

will one day be…

maybe tomorrow… kind of girl.

But age is creeping up on me now, and I’m spurned on to complete and be part of  ‘living the dream’ that I’ve had for years .

I started on WordPress to showcase places I had been or seen  and maybe become a travel writer..but it didn’t last. I won’t bore you with the other failures but I’ve not been able to find any audience for my writing until I stumbled onto this site last year.

Motivation is the key to anything, and no matter how starved one is through illness or lack of desire…motivation keeps the cogs in the brain turning.

I still do not write every day on here, but I have a ‘friends’ page on Facebook with about 100 members, but  on average, 10 people read or comment each day.

I write about my daily experiences and put up photos of what I’ve seen! Mainly clouds and sunsets.

So today, at the start of my next 10 years here, I’m going to try and stay motivated to create.

I do abstract doodling ( quirky art) each and every day, so that’s my motivation to build on my strengths and let go of my weaknesses from my past.

And  keep hitting the ‘ like’ button even though it makes my heart cringe. At least I’m alive and creating and being noticed… even if you haven’t the time or motivation to

type a few words of encouragement.
