If humans had taglines, what would yours be?

As I enter the last quarter of my life I often reflect on the life I’ve lived and said the words I wrote in the title…But…wait…there is more.. much much more…

A dear friend interviews people who have lost their way in life,  through family breakdowns/ drugs or alcohol abuse and he always ends with the same question-

What would you say to your 15 yr old self if you could go back…

Well that’s what I would say… because by the time I was a teenager, I was thinking of ways to end my life!

Yes, seriously, and then in my early twenties, I hit rock bottom and survived some really serious overdoses… There just wasn’t the support around for troubled young people over 50 years ago. I know people say there is no support now, but at least most people have access to the internet and can research and find answers.

I am glad that I survived.  I found God and a faith that saved me and I learnt about forgiveness for all of those who wronged me

It hasn’t been an easy life, but I’m reminded daily to push on,,

Live in the moment and be thankful that is more out there..

I’ve been a mentor for others who have suffered the same as  myself.

Yes, there is definitely more out there..find your gift, find your purpose for life… Believe me, it’s worth the wait.
