Yawn…bed times??

Written by:

What time do you go to bed and wake up currently?

I never really had trouble falling asleep or staying asleep until problems impacted my life…like being married to a chronic snorer with his sleep apnea machine rattling in the background …an overhead fan thrashing through the air on  number 2 setting in winter and 3 in summer all day ..all night and then one has to factor in the heavy traffic on  the road some 50 metres from the house!

So one has to be pretty tired or doped up to the eye balls on drugs to get much sleep at my place.

The last 2 years I’ve been plagued with an unidentified chronic itch that descended onto my body every night  after 10 and lasted to the early morning was just turning light..the only relief was drenching my body in a luke warm shower… So I would snatch an hour or three from 5- 8anbğ then rise and go about my daily work.

Sleep patterns.did someone say sleep patterns…not me.

I certainly have plenty of naps on the couch, though.

Thankfully, my rash has eased, and I can sleep with just an ice pack on my leg.

So enjoy sleep when and where it happens.⁰

What a true story… sleeping can sometimes be a real challenge when the environment isn’t conducive. Between noise, worries, and physical discomfort, rest ceases to be simple. I’m glad to hear the itching has improved and that you can at least find some relief now.

In the end, as you say, it’s about being grateful and making the most of sleep when it comes, wherever it may find us.
